Polyester tape are flexible and dimensional stable, making it hard to tear. Typically resistant to high-temperature and UV, it is often used for electrical insulation, surface protection and packaging. Available with or without adhesive and in a variety of finishes, from clear to silver and many other colors or tints. Polyester is a category of polymers that contain the ester functional group in their main chain. As a specific material, it most commonly refers to a type called polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Polyesters include naturally occurring chemicals, such as in the cutting of plant cuticles, as well as synthetics through step-growth polymerization such as polybutyrate. Natural polyesters and a few synthetic ones are biodegradable, but most synthetic polyesters are not. The material is used extensively in clothing. Polyesters are also used to make bottles, films, tarpaulin, canoes, liquid crystal displays, holograms, filters, dielectric film for capacitors, film insulation for wire and insulating tapes. Polyesters are widely used as a finish on high-quality wood products such as guitars, pianos and vehicle/yacht interiors. Adhesive tape refers to any one of a variety of combinations of a backing materials coated with an adhesive. Different backing materials and adhesives can be used depending on the intended use.UV-tapes is adhesive tapes that have strong adhesive strength, and characteristic that adhesive strength becoming very small after UV irradiation. UV-tapes can settle the wafers surely with the strong adhesive strength in the wafer dicing or grinding. After UV irradiation, tapes are easy to be peeled off from the wafer in picking-up or delamination process. Thus, our UV-tapes can improve the quality and save cost, of semiconductor processing. UV-TAPE is used for protect of the surface of the wafer, from shock and vibration of back grinding, or acid etchants.
