Masking tape, also known as painter’s tape, is a type of pressure-sensitive tape made of a thin and easy-to-tear paper, and an easily released pressure-sensitive adhesive. It is available in a variety of widths. It is used mainly in painting, to mask off areas that should not be painted.Solder Wave Masking Tapes, also known as Wave Solder Tapes, are ideal for use in solder wave masking and high temperature paint operations. They are also recognized as High Temperature Masking Tapes. These Solder Wave Masking Tapes are made from 6 Mil thick crepe paper with rubber adhesive that can be removed cleanly without leaving any residue. They can withstand molten solder for 5-8 seconds at 500° F. Each roll has 3″ core and is 60 yards long. Applications for General Purpose Masking, Heat Insulation, High Temperature Painting and Wave soldering during circuit board assembly , masking of metal, plastic and rubber surfaces where staining is a problem, high temperature holding and splicing. Removes without adhesive residue after exposure to heat/chemical. Eliminates paint and primer flaking. Thickness: 6 Mil. Adhesion to steel: 34 oz/in. Tensile strength: 20 lbs/inch. Elongation: greater than 6 percent. RoHS Compliant. Uses in  3D Printing, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronic Assembly, Solar Panel Assembly, Wave Soldering.
